S/S Hansa – En fartygskatastrof. The exhibition design is based on the book of the same title, written by Jakob Ringbom and Lars Almgård Kruthof.
Drawing on the book, a concept was developed in which water—both as an element and a visual carrier—guides visitors through the exhibition’s various themes.
Time rewinds, memories fade, yet the sea remains unchanged. With the sea present in the spatial design, the narrative is carried forward. A range of materials is employed in abstract and suggestive ways to evoke the presence of the sea and water as a metaphor throughout the exhibition.
