S/S Hansa – minnet av en sjökatastrof
On 24 November 1944, a tragedy unfolded that deeply affected both Gotland and Sweden. The passenger vessel S/S Hansa was torpedoed off the coast of Gotland by a Soviet submarine and sank within the span of one minute. Of the 86 individuals on board, only two survived. The exhibition S/S Hansa – In Memory of a Maritime Disaster commemorates the ship and the lives affected by this tragic event in Swedish history.
